Tamil actor Vijay recently floated a political party (TVK), conducted a massive conference and amassed a crowd that is estimated to be at least 200,000 that had mostly school and college students and people under 30 years of age.
Why is this such an important news ?
Unlike the late Vijayakanth, Vijay is a practising christian, educated in one of the most celebrated christian institutions in Chennai, Loyala College ( known for seeding conversion, separatism, anti-hinduism etc). He graduated in Visual Communication, again a course that most of the separatist and conversion oriented YouTubers and media persons choose.
Christians in Tamil Nadu had long sided with the DMK during elections. The reciprocal benefit would be, once the DMK came to power, all christian parishes and congregations would receive covert and overt benefits for their conversion activities. They had to be with the DMK as they did not have separate political clout on account of being numerically weak, unlike muslims who had parties such as SDP, MMK and the like, through whom they were able to bargain for seats with the DMK during elections. The islamic parties were not so steadfast with the DMK. They were oscillating between the DMK and the ADMK.
However, the christians didn’t have a political party of their own. Being just 6% of Tamil Nadu’s population, the idea of a separate political party didn’t make sense. Hence the need to prop up a matinee idol. And Joseph Vijay, with a huge following in the 16-30 age group, fits the bill perfectly. This would ensure either a major vote swing in favour or against one of the dravidian parties, or, result in a better bargaining position with either of them for an increased number of seats in a seat sharing agreement.
With the BJP’s Annamalai attracting 10% of the votes from the TN electorate, mostly youth votes, there was a need to garner those votes that would favour the so-called ‘communal’ BJP. With the 40+ age group voters being aligned with some political formation or the other, it was the only natural choice to scoop the 18-40 age group that would be swayed by Joseph Vijay’s movies.
Joseph Vijay was being groomed perfectly for this very occasion for a very long time. His moves, his statements, however rare they might be, his ‘punch’ dialogues et al were crafted with the ultimate target in mind – that of a political force for the christians.
Why would christians vote for Joseph Vijay? one might ask. He has been propped up to lure the 17-30 vote bank, the first time voters and the politically naive population under 40 who neither know scheming politics nor are well-read to read between the lines.
How did Joseph Vijay grow his base ?
He targeted school final students. He carefully chose those who would be 18+ in 2026 and began his ‘educational benefits’ programme. The ‘achievers’ and ‘deserving’ students were selected and granted monetary benefits, books et al. Typical evangelisation tactics of yore. No prizes for guessing who would have funded this. Not that this Rs 200 crore salaried Vijay would not be able to sponsor all by himself.
Whose vote is Joseph Vijay targeting ?
Obviously the under 18-30 age group youngsters, the lot that has no idea of the historical significance of the land that is Bharat. Not to blame them for their ignorance as they have not been provided any avenue to learn about the spiritual significance of Bharat due to the relentless onslaught of Tamil cinema and its unholy alliance with the politics in the ‘Rationalist’ Republic of Tamil Nadu.
Hence Joseph Vijay would eat into the young voter base of the BJP and Sebastian Simon ( Seeman as he is popularly known). Additionally, Thirumavalavan of the VCK would have to be worried as well. His vote bank of dalit-christians would be altered by some substantial margin considering the youth appeal of the matinee icon.
Who would benefit from this vote catching ?
The DMK for sure. With the young voters being snatched away from the growing BJP and the slightly stupid but potentially harmful Sebastian Simon, the non-DMK votes would be split and thus the DMK ( with its alliance) would stand to gain as the method of Indian democracy is ‘first past the post’ system of elections. What better way to split the anti-incumbancy votes in 2026 than field Joseph Vijay whose popularity is at an all time high with the young voters who are in any case not ideologically inclined towards the DMK? Instead of these votes reaching the BJP, Vijay would garner these and save DMK in the ‘first past the post’ system. The other dravidian party, the AIADMK, is steadily losing vote share anyway.
How can one be sure that DMK would benefit ?
The DMK did not place many obstacles to Joseph Vijay in his endeavour to form a political party while it placed enormous hurdles towards Rajinikanth, a more popular movie star, when Rajinikanth was attempting to float a political party ( that would have helped the BJP as Rajinikanth is known for his soft-hindutva stance ). The DMK brooks no opposition towards itself – Savukku Sankar and other You Tubers were hounded left, right and centre. But the party chose to be silent and didn’t act in any way that would be seen to be hindering Joseph Vijay.
So, what is Joseph Vijay’s strategy ?
He has said that ‘dravidianism’ and ‘tamil nationalism’ would be his path. With this, and the symbolisms of Ramasamy Naicker, he is hops to target the pro-LTTE Sebastian Simon vote bank and reduce it. By including the Tamil kings of the past, he is seeking to garner some votes from the tamil-pride-flaunting 18-30 populace. This would also eat into the BJP’s fledgling vote bank ( cultivated by Annamalai due to his persona). Note that Joseph Vijay has not excluded ‘dravidianism’, thus proving that he plans to be on the same side of the dravidian parties. It is common knowledge that ‘dravidianism’ and ‘tamil nationalism’ ( a pre-cursor to secessionism) are mutually exclusive. Also note that Joseph Vijay had carefully avoided ‘nationalism’ ( read Indian Nationalism). This is in line with the philosophies of the christian missionaries who have been following the said approach of the proselytiser of the past, Robert Caldwell.
Importantly, he has opposed the BJP on ‘ideological’ grounds. Music to the missionaries, no doubt.
Like Kamal Hasan, yet another matinee idol, who voluntarily became an useful tool in the DMK’s electoral politics, Joseph Vijay also looks to be yet another tool in the hands of the global regime changing powers.
Who should be worried ?
- Sebastian Simon – as Joseph Vijay would directly eat into his vote bank.
- Annamalai – for the same reasons, especially the youth voters.
- Edappadi Pazaniswamy – as the young voters don’t connect with the AIADMK anyway as there is no charismatic leader worth the name after Jayalalithaa’s demise.
Who needs to rejoice ?
- The DMK
- The missionaries
- The omnipresent Deep-State
What should the people of Tamil Nadu do ?
Blame their fate for defeating the legendary Kamarajar by listening to Rajaji in 1960s.
Who doesn’t need to care a hoot?
The Congress Party in Tamil Nadu. No point in worrying as Kamaraj rule is already being felt in the state.
P.S.:
Joseph Vijay talking about his christian belief here.
Christian Avatar when he called himself ‘Joseph Vijay’ with letter head proclaiming ‘Jesus Saves’.

Hiding his christian self with a more appealing ‘Vijay’ once he launched his party.
