Singapore should re-think its priorities. A nice read.
It’s midweek and I’m blogging. I’m guilty because, really, I should be studying. Why?
Simply because, well, I’m a student in Singapore and that’s what I am expected to do.
Even now, as I’m typing this, my mind is filled with thoughts on the readings I am supposed to do, from which textbooks they are from, my plans for an essay that I have to write and a post I have to make in a class discussion forum.
Then again, I am a university student and most university students around the world would probably feel like this too (not referring to exchange students here).
Now, why then, have I felt this guilt (of doing something else which is not studying) since I was 9, or when I finally understood the importance of studying – to get full marks, or make the top three students in class?
